Isabel Berizzo is CEO and founder of SugarCoach, a Startup devoted to creating digital solutions for diabetes control. In August 2017, she launched SugarCoach 1.0 for Type 1 Diabetes Control. Now it’s available on Google Play. This was the first mobile app of its kind developed and launched in Latin America.

What does SugarCoach do? It allows users to record all the values of their diabetes and send them to the doctor in a very simple way. SugarCoach uses the same format of spreadsheets that the doctor is used to using and that is the one that laboratories recommend. It is free and available for all Android Smartphones. Isabel Berizzo studied at UTN the career of Systems Analyst. This project was born because she is a mother of 2 children with Type 1 Diabetes and tired of using the available applications, which did not solve the problem, she decided to create her own version. From the beginning, he focused on the user experience, as all Apps on the market seemed to ignore it and developed a simplified and friendly version with the goal of knowing their market and learning from their experience.

Today she and her team are developing version 2.0 with all improvements learned during this time. The new includes Gamification and other technological advances such as the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain.

She is passionate about technology and managed to grow this project and build a team with almost no resources, except for the inspiration and vision that makes the project grow and continue without any money investments. It is her drive and perseverance that brings this project closer to success every day.
